LOOKING BACK

Betty Patrick Harris, was born in Birmingham Alabama. She is one of eleven siblings of Mr. Lonzo and Agnes Patrick. Betty has four wonderful children of her own and has been blessed with meany Grandkids.

Betty began singing at the very young age of 5 years old. She really loved singing in the children’s choir at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Leeds, Alabama.
God has blessed Betty to work with many great Civic Leaders, Religious Leaders, Singers, Entertainers, Politicians and Churches.

Betty also served as the President of the American Singers Association (Oakland California Chapter) and became the National MC for the American Singers Association.
Betty has performed with many gospel artist such as; Darly Coley, Keith Pringle, Lee Williams, Lady Tramaine Hawkins, Walter Hawkins and the mighty Clouds of Joy.

Betty Preformed In Such Plays As:
• Street Called Straight and
• Bush Arbor

Throughout Black History month, Betty have produced and directed the Play;

Entertainment In The Slave Quarters.

Although Betty travels throughout the United States and many foreign countries, she also finds time to give back to many communities. Her main focus is to minister to lost souls so they may receive Christ. She has made numerous trips to correctional institutions in California, sharing the greatness of God through her songs. Betty is a coordinator of women and family retreats.

She also worked for the Truancy Reduction Program for the Oakland, California Public School. She also enjoyed working closely with the youth. She has volunteered her time working as an after school choir director and community Chaplin for the Oakland Police Department.

She also served as a volunteer for the youth Intervention Program
Betty is a member of the Ephesians C.O.G.I.C of Berkeley California and has served as the Director of the Love In Action Program for Ephesians Church of God In Christ, feeding a proximally 150 people every Thursday. She also served on the Advisory Board for F.E.A.S.T (Food Education Alternative Skills and Technique) for the Alameda County Food Bank.

Betty continues to sing, giving God the glory. She prays that every song God has placed on her heart to sing will set the captive free through the anointing of her music.
